why we do what we do

Our ultimate goal is to spread the benefits of using aromatherapy and plant herbs in our daily lives to achieve better well-being with harmony and balance.

At Sabun, we recognise that it’s hard to completely eradicate harmful, synthetic chemicals from our lives in this day and age. While we do not claim our products to be 100% organic as they have not gone through the official certification process, we do however use natural, plant-derived, certified organic or ethically-harvested ingredients to the best of our abilities.

What we don't use are ingredients that contain unnecessary or harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, sulphates, parabens, silicones, surfactants, nitrosating agents and artificial dyes or fragrances. These are chemicals that are potentially carcinogenic and may cause harm to our skin and immune systems.

In line with keeping it wholesome, we blend and package all our products lovingly by hand upon receiving your order, so that you get the best in freshness and quality.

Our essential oils go through GC/IR verification (Gas Chromatography/Infra-red Spectroscopy) and are of pure therapeutic grade; free from adulteration, from the extraction process to actual bottling.

Each raw ingredient has been carefully sourced from friendly, reliable vendors around the world who operate with ethical conduct.

Our supplier of herbal tea has been a dedicated advocate of sustainable agriculture and ecology over the past two decades, choosing wildcrafted herbs over convention whenever organic material is not available.

We are committed to keeping our products vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. This means that we take absolute care in using ingredients of non-animal origin and likewise, none of our ingredients or finished products have been tested on animals, only willing friends and family.

From the conception, blending and creating, to the design, printing and packing of Sabun's products - everything is done by hand for each and every order.

That's how we are able to minimize wastage whilst maintaining an energy-efficient work environment. Production scrap materials are salvaged for all possible purposes and those that can't are recycled. We re-use packing materials whenever available, requiring minimal plastic or styrofoam usage. To further reduce paper waste, you'll find your invoices and receipts in your email inbox and not included in your order package.
