Waxing can be little bit of a mess in the beginning. But as you get the hang of it, you'll appreciate the finer hair re-growth and potential cost savings. Ingredients 1 cup brown sugar juice from 1/2 lemon 1/2 cup honey (vegans can buy vegetable glycerin from Phoon Huat & Co. as a substitute) cornstarch, if necessary spatula for spreading mixture any thin cotton fabric, cut into strips Instructions Melt sugar, honey and lemon juice in a pot over stove at low heat until you reach a smooth consistency. Make sure the area to be waxed is clean and dry. Dust a little cornstarch to draw out excess oil if necessary. Once the mixture lowers to a comfortable temperature, spread a thin layer over skin and 'paste' a cotton strip over, smoothening it out in the direction of hair growth. Holding your skin taut at one end, grab the same end of the cotton strip and rip it off quickly against the direction of hair growth, keeping it as close to your skin as possible. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize after cleaning! Note: Sugar mixture can be re-heated if it becomes too sticky for application. Use a little jojoba oil or warm soapy water to remove any excess sugar left on skin. Do not use on sensitive skin.
