Suitable for combination and oily skin. Ingredients 1/2 cup boiling water 1 tbsp finely-ground rice granules 2 tbsp white kaolin clay 1 tbsp dried lavender petals 1 tsp honey 2 drops lavender essential oil (optional) Instructions - Place dried lavender in a teapot and pour boiling water. Steep for 15-20 mins with lid covered. - Strain and filter infusion and let cool. - Grind rice granules in a food processor to a fine texture. - Mix kaolin clay in with rice granules then slowly add in lavender infusion. - Blend till desired consistency is reached. - In a clean bowl, add in remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. * Mixture can be kept up to a week if stored refrigerated in a clean jar.
A deeply nourishing and luxurious oil treatment for mature, dehydrated skin. Suitable for cold weather. Ingredients 1 tbsp apricot kernel oil 2 tsp jojoba oil 2 drops sandalwood eo 2 drops lavender eo 1 drop ylang ylang eo Instructions Pour ingredients in a dark coloured glass bottle and shake well. Use well-diluted as it can cause skin irritation. Avoid during pregnancy.

Ingredients 1 drop lemon eo 1 drop rosemary eo 1 drop lavender eo big bowl of hot water Instructions If you do not own one of those electric steamers, you can make your own facial sauna by adding the above essential oils to a large bowl of hot boiled water. Let the strong initial scent of the oils escape before placing your face above the steam. Cover head with towel. * Be careful not to scald your face, always start from a farther distance then bring closer.

Ingredients 1 tbsp ground oatmeal 1 tbsp almond meal 1 tsp plain yoghurt (substitute with skimmed milk for oilier skin) 2 tsp green tea 1 drop geranium eo (substitute with lemon eo for oilier skin) Instructions 1. In a clean bowl, combine both dry ingredients and mix well. 2. In a separate bowl, combine the tea, yoghurt and essential oils, stirring in well. 3. Add the tea mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well into paste.
A refreshing and soothing facial toner for normal and sensitive skin. Store in a spray bottle to spritz over face anytime or apply to cotton pads as a wipe. Ingredients 1 cup purified/distilled water 1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers 1 tbsp dried calendula petals Instructions 1. Place dried herbs in a teapot and pour in 1 cup of boiling water. 2. Steep for 15 to 20 minutes with teapot covered to minimise loss of essential oils. 3. Strain the herbs and filter with unbleached coffee filter if necessary. 4. Refridgerate and use within 2 to 3 days.
This calming toner is perfect for mature, dehydrated skin. Ingredients 50ml rosewater 5 drops sandalwood eo Instructions Add the essential oil to the rose hydrosol and store in a spray bottle for easy dispensing. Shake well before each use.
A very soothing and cooling skin toner for sensitive and combination skin. Ingredients 40ml orange flower water 10ml aloe vera juice Instructions Thoroughly mix ingredients in a spray bottle. Your concoction can keep for a week if stored in the fridge when not in use.

Ingredients 45ml witch hazel hydrosol 5ml aloe vera juice 5 drops tea tree eo (optional for more antiseptic effect) Instructions Thoroughly mix ingredients in a spray bottle. If adding essential oil, drop the tea tree into the mixture and shake it up before use. Your concoction can keep for a week if stored in the fridge when not in use.

This is a great mask for skin which looks a bit dull with a few pimples. It gently cleanses the skin and renews surface skin cells. Ingredients 2 tbsp white kaolin clay 1 tbsp pineapple flesh 1 tbsp papaya flesh Instructions Mash the fruit together and drain the juice. Add in the clay and slowly mix into a paste.

A mild and fragrant facial lotion for any skin type Ingredients 50ml orange blossom water 1 tsp honey 1 drop bergamot eo Instructions Gently heat floral water over very low heat just to melt the honey. Fill a dry, clean bottle with the mixture and add in essential oil. Shake it up well before each use. * Citrus oils can cause photo-sensitivity and should be avoided before sun exposure.
This cleansing mask purifies oily and blemished skin. Ingredients 1 tsp green clay 1.5 tsp fresh orange juice Instructions Mix into a smooth paste and apply to damp face.
Cucumber is a great soothing astringent. This mask cleanses and refreshes sensitive skin. Ingredients 2 tbsp kaolin clay 1 tbsp cucumber pulp or juice Instructions 1. Ingredients 1 tbsp finely-ground rice granules 2 tbsp kaolin clay 2 tsp lavender hydrosol 1 tsp honey 4 drops lavender eo Instructions Mix granules and kaollin, then slowly add in lavender water and blend till desired consistency is reached. Add in remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly. Store in a glass container.
Particularly soothing for hot flushes. Removes excess oil without causing dryness. Can also be used on shoulders and back. Suitable for normal to oily, combination and acneic skin. Ingredients 2 cups distilled/purified water 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley 1/4 cup fresh chopped peppermint leaves 5 drops peppermint essential oil (optional) Instructions - In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil and remove from heat. - Stir in the herbs, cover and steep for 45 mins. - (If desired) Add in essential oil and stir in to blend. - Strain and filter with unbleached coffee filter into a clean storage container. - Using a cotton pad, apply to clean and follow up with moisturizer. * Shake well before each use. Keep refrigerated and discard after 1 week.
A weekly face mask to brighten and revitalize dull and tired skin. Ingredients few sprigs of fresh peppermint few sprigs of fresh parsley 1 tbsp plain yoghurt Instructions - Remove sprigs and finely chop up fresh parsley and peppermint leaves. - In a clean bowl, blend chopped herbs and yoghurt into a smooth even paste.
